What is CBD?

Discovered in 1940, cannabidiol (CBD) is one of approximately 113 identified cannabinoids found in cannabis plants.

All Azalla CBD products are derived from hemp, which is defined by the 2018 Farm Bill (United States) as cannabis plants with very low (less than 0.03%) concentrations of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol [THC) on a dry weight basis and therefore has been removed from the definition of Marijuana in the Controlled Substances Act. Azalla takes these legal definitions very seriously and subjects all of our products to rigorous 3^rd party testing.

Will CBD get me high?

No, CBD does not produce the psychotropic (“high”) effect that accompanies the consumption of tetrahydrocannabinol [THC] found in marijuana.

What are terpenes and what do they do?

Terpenes are the natural compounds found in plants that give cannabis its aroma, color and flavor. Hundreds of different terpenes have been identified in the cannabis plant and each contains a unique strain.

Linalool – Possesses a sweet lavender scent occurs in several hundred species of plants ranging from spices and herbs to citrus fruits and rosewood. Provides sedating and calming effect.

Myrcene – Provides a pleasant scent similar to herbs or cloves. It is found throughout nature in plants such as mango, lemongrass, thyme, hops, and eucalyptus. Serves as antibiotic, sedative, and anti-inflammatory.

Ocimene – Has a sweet, woody aroma and is found in allspice along with other fruits and plants. Serves as antiviral, antibacterial, antiseptic, and decongestant.

Bisabolol – Has a fresh sweet, and floral aroma and is primarily derived from German instance of chamomile. Serves as anti-inflammatory, anti-irritant, antioxidant, anti-microbial, and analgesic.

How much CBD should I take?

Each person is different and reacts differently to CBD consumption. We recommend starting with small dosages, once per day, and gradually increasing the dosage over several days.
